So many of you who follow my work have known of my recent business changes.  To refresh your memory, I’ve decided to drastically cut back the weddings that I book due to how crazy busy the portrait side of my business has been.  My newborn clientele has been skyrocketing, as well as my small families…and at this point in my business, I feel this is the path I need to take.

I will only be photographing weddings for referrals from past/current clients, friends & family.   For future inquiries that I receive, I will gladly help the couples out by referring them to some local wedding photographers that I network with, whom I greatly trust to photograph their day.  In addition, I will happily assist local photographers with their weddings if they need an assistant but for my business, I am switching my focus to maternity, newborns & families (and all the fun in-between milestones). 

The portrait side of my business has greatly increased over the last few years and my heart belongs with portraits, especially my newborns. Focusing on portraits will also allow me to accommodate more sessions throughout the year, especially in the summer and fall which is the busiest times for weddings.

I’m so very blessed to have had the honor to photograph so many weddings and I honestly cherish each and every one of you that I’ve photographed.  Many have become very good friends. Because of you, my business has grown so much and words cannot describe how thankful I am. I really look forward to being your family photographer in years to come.

IN ADDITION, there are many changes to come with my business.  The BIGGEST one, and the most exciting, is that sometime in the near future, I will be moving into a studio!  We will be looking into many options (storefronts, studios in a mill building, plazas, etc) and once we find the right fit for my business, I’ll be sure to let everyone know!  We are SO THRILLED with this new adventure that I simply cannot wait to move into a space and to provide even more of an amazing experience for you all and to future clients and families.

I’ve known the F family for a few years now, as I first met them at one of their relative’s wedding that I photographed.  But for the F family, photographed their wedding day, the newborn session of their 2nd son and now their family photo.  One of the best rewards in this business is continuing an amazing relationship from the first day of contact.  The F family is so down to earth and Melissa is such a pleasure to talk to and bounce ideas off of for her family. 🙂

Oh what can I say with Miss *R* that I haven’t said before?  I love this little girl.  I really do.  I can say that I love all my newborns that come visit me, but she’s the daughter of a good friend that I’ve known since high school. 🙂  So when she comes, I get to snuggle her just a TEENY bit more than I normally would. 😉

Miss R is also part of my Baby Plan so I get to see her every few months and I’m always amazed at how quickly she grows each time.  And oh the serious looks she can give when she watches your every move.  They truly are correct when they say the eyes are the windows to the soul.

The *P* family and I met a couple of years ago when the dad emailed me to schedule their newborn session with their first child, Mr. *C*.  I’ve networked with the dad, as he can take some amazing photos of landscapes, nature, etc.  I’m always excited to see what he comes up with.  So when his wife contacted me to schedule the newborn session of their 2nd child (a daughter!), I couldn’t schedule it fast enough for them.   To chat and catch up with them, snuggle with Miss M and to play with little Mr *C* and to see how much he’s grown…I’m so lucky to be in this line of business.

Miss *R* is one of my Baby Plan babies and I’m always super excited to see her when it comes time for her session.  Miss R came to see me for her 9 month session and boy, was she busy as a bee!!  I loved every minute of it!  She is such an expressive little one.   I cannot wait until her 1 year  (and cake smash!) session!
