I’ve been collaborating with Kristin, owner of The Cupcakerie (http://www.thecupcakerie.net). She does such AMAZING work and her cupcakes and cakes are to die for! So it wasn’t a question whom I would ask to do a cake for my son’s first birthday cake smash. 😉 As an artist, I can understand how fun it is to have full control of a vision so all I told Kristin was that I wanted fall colors (preferably leaves) on the cake. But other than that, she could do whatever she wanted. I was blown away by this cake she presented to me. It was big, beautiful and one that I couldn’t wait to photograph!

I had such a blast photographing our 1 year old son, Tyler. It took him a while to warm up to the fact of getting dirty….but he was such a ham the entire time! Here’s a bunch of my favorites from the session:

It's my birthday, horray!

I always say that my last wedding of the every season is one that I’ll never forget. Nikki & Kevin’s wedding is no exception. I’m so blessed to have such down to earth couples, so loving and carefree. Nikki & Kevin really wanted to focus on the atmosphere around them, having fun with their friends & family with their cocktail reception and I adored their vintage book centerpieces! But what really topped off the night was when Nikki danced with her father. While she danced with her father, he sang to her and boy, could he sing!!! There were so many tears that night that as a mother myself, filled my heart with love. This is another wedding that I’ll never forget.

I have to apologize, as I’m running a little behind on my sneak peeks. 

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing Melissa & Joe’s wedding day.  The entire day took place at OceanCliff Hotel in Newport, RI.  The day was absolutely beautiful!  Melissa & Joe were fantastic to photograph and I really had a ton of fun capturing their day.  They even brought their dog to the reception for a few family portraits!  How awesome is that?! 😉

I saw this idea from a fellow photographer friend a few years ago.  I knew that once we had another little one, I just had to try it.  So thank you, Jessica Deane, for not minding that I did this idea with my own lil’ spin on it. 😉

On this day, 1 year ago, our youngest son, Tyler Jack was born. Many of you had gone through the journey with us as to how he fought his way into this world (and for those of you who don’t know, you can read about it here: https://www.teresasweetphotography.com/blog/?p=1672) and I just cannot believe he has been a part of our lives for such a short time and yet….our lives didn’t seem complete without him.

Tyler is honestly one of the best babies I have ever seen. Rarely ever cries, always so happy and he is just happy as can be as long as he has loved ones around him. Tyler is such a love bug and I love that he’s at the “Mommy” attachment phase as it only lasts for a short time. He is curious about everything around him, loves his toy trucks, bouncy balls and most of all, the caterpillar from Baby Einstein videos. Tyler loves to blow kisses to anyone that wants to receive them and will just wave to the world around him.

Tyler simply adores his older brothers, Justin & Zachary and is always curious as to what they are doing. All Justin & Zack has to do is laugh or say his name and Ty goes into a fit of giggles. I hope that bond is never forgotten or broken.

Ty loves saying “Momma” & “Dadda” and while he is not yet walking and just about to start the crawling stage, I am most certainly ok with that because he is our baby and I want to hold on tight to him as long as I can.

Tyler Jack, thank you for being such a sweetheart, my lil’ man. Mommy, Daddy, Justin and Zachary love you to the moon & back! Happy 1st Birthday!
