Easter Session…The *A* Family.

I met the *A* family through my son’s PTO at his school.  Jennifer, the mom, has such a bubbly personality that will light up any room!  It was great to finally meet her husband and of course, see all their kids again.  The oldest, Miss *L* is in the same grade as our oldest son as well.  With our three kids and their three kids, they are gonna rule the school for many years to come! 😉

Jen & Hassan, thank you for being so patient today and I hope Zach took a little bit of a nap for you today.  While he may not have wanted to have ANYTHING to do with the photos, I think the one that we did get of just him, came out pretty cute…especially since we caught a half smile! 😉  I had a blast, thanks for coming today!

Enjoy your sneak peek….the rest should be available to view in about a week and a half!

“Super Moon”…

Last night, I caught the most fabulous photo of the moon….just as it was coming over the horizon, it was absolutely HUGE.  But of course, a ton of trees and such were in the way.  So I only captured that with my eyes.  About one hour later, I was able to catch this:

Seeing how this was the 3rd time ever attempting to photograph the moon (with the first time failing miserably! hahahaha), I’m pleased with it.  🙂  Next time, gotta use a big telephoto to REALLY get the details….

Easter Session…the *S* Family.

Today began the first day of my marathon of sessions with dwarf bunnies and baby chicks for Easter.  This is a one week extravaganza and WOW, is it going to be busy!  🙂  I met the *S* family about a year and a half ago when I photographed them at Colt State Park.  I’ve been lucky enough to stay in contact with Wendy (the mom) since then so you know I was excited when she mentioned she wanted the bunny sessions for the kids!

It was so cute, watching the two of them interact with the bunnies and the chicks…even if the chick did have an “accident” on Miss *A* (sorry, sweetie!)   I promise you it was worth it, haha…Steve, thanks so much for being my bunny wrangler.  Keep it up and I just may hire you! 😉

Here is a sneak peek of my favorites from the session.  I love a bunch of others as well, but those will just have to be kept a secret until the entire gallery is finished.  Enjoy!

The *E* Family…A Maternity Session

Monday night, a dear client (and proud to call a friend) of mine came into the studio.  Tiffany brought her husband, Dulf and their 2 boys with them.  Tiffany is due on May 9th with their first lil’ girl!  I cannot wait to meet the lil’ one!  I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Tiffany & Dulf back in 2008 when they hired me as their wedding photographer and ever since then, we’ve kept in touch and have had many many sessions since then.  With a gorgeous momma-to-be, a handsome husband and 2 beautiful, handsome boys…I am very excited to meet their lil’ princess.

Tiffany, as always, it was great to see you again and I hope you and the family had just as much fun as I did at the session!  Thanks for letting me be creative, Dulf is a great sport to put up with my ideas! 😉  I’m saving the entire family photos and more “traditional” photos for the gallery, so they can be a surprise to show others at your baby shower.  Hope that’s ok….Here’s a sneak peek for you.  Enjoy!

The Love of a Marine…OpLove Session

On Monday morning, once again, I had the honor to photograph for Operation: Love Reunited.  OpLove is an organization of photographers who provide portrait sessions to the military free of charge.  I am truly blessed to provide my services for them and their loved ones.

Here is Derrik and Brittany…a handsome Marine and his beautiful wife.  It was definitely a bit chilly and windy that day but I’m so glad we were able to brave the cold weather and have the session outside.  You can really see the love between the two of them and the outdoor surroundings just bring out the freedom you can almost feel.  Why you may ask???  Because Derrik just returned home from Afghanistan and this is his Homecoming session.  He will be getting out of the Marine Corps very shortly.

On behalf of all of us, Derrik & Brittany, thank you for serving and protecting our country.  I hold the military and their families in highest regard.  You and your families sacrifice more than people can ever know.  So from the bottom of my heart….thank you!

Here is a sneak peek of their session.  Enjoy!
